Chronic Pain Team

Our Chronic Pain team is responsible for providing pain management through a variety of methods involving assessment, care, education and research.

  • Edward Shane, D.C., is a duly qualified chiropractor and is a specialist in rehabilitation as a member of the Chiropractic College of Rehabilitation Sciences. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pain Management and a Senior Disability Analyst of the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Professionals. Dr. Shane has extensive experience in treating patients with musculoskeletal injuries since 1980. He has specific expertise in treating patients suffering as a result of a motor vehicle related accidents. He has been conducting independent chiropractic assessments from both a medical/rehabilitation and disability perspective since 1991.
  • Raymond Wong, Occupational Therapist, His goal is to assist clients to develop an independent, productive and fulfilling life. Our occupational therapist is helpful in accessing both home and work environments. Those clients who have suffered a physical, mental or emotional disability are helped to improve in areas such as motor functioning, social skills, visual acuity, dexterity and memory.
  • Rafat Rofali, P.T., assists the rehabilitation process with treatment programs that include individualized manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises. These original treatment approaches are well respected in the industry.
  • Nancy Vranic, C.K., is a firm believer in holistic treatment which includes osteopathic and naturopathic approaches. Nancy helps our clients who suffer from a variety of whiplash and chronic pain symptoms and finds solutions to overcome barriers to their recovery. Nancy has extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanical studies and she assists clients with their pain concerns.
  • Julie Raggiunti is an experienced nutritional consultant who has worked in the medical field all her life. She is able to counsel patients with their daily diets, provides educational materials and assigns homework to the participants through one-on-one counseling. New nutritional information and pamphlets are distributed to all participants.
  • Chana Klein is a duly qualified Occupational Therapist licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario. Chana graduated from the University of Toronto with a BSc. in Occupational Therapy in 1987. Chana is a member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Chana's current practice is in the area of traumatic brain injury, orthopaedic trauma, soft tissue injury, and psychosocial rehabilitation, performing case management of the catastrophically injured, treatment, file reviews, and community integration within the auto-insurance industry. Chana has past experience assessing and treating school-age children and children with developmental delays.
  • Tovit Ruben is a duly qualified and registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. This therapist graduated from University of Toronto with a BSc. in Occupational Therapy. This Occupational Therapist has been practicing occupational therapy since 1991, with expertise in paediatric neurology and acquired traumatic brain injuries, as well as over ten years of experience completing inhome and assessment of attendant care needs assessments, WSIB assessments, and ADP mobility assessments. Tovit Ruben is currently a registered authorizer with the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) for Ambulation aids, Positioning devices for Mobility (Seating) and Wheelchairs, as well as a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.
