Shoreham Chronic Pain Clinic is a multilingual, multi-disciplined team of professionals, equipped with modern and objective measurement tools and instruments to assess neurocognitive, psychological and physiological impairments and functioning in children and adults. Mildly to moderately impaired patients who sustained a traumatic injury receive reliable clinician administered tests. Through a dynamic assessment approach, Shoreham Chronic Pain Clinic has developed an interactive means of evaluating the patients' modifiability in order to help them plan appropriate goals and help them regain control of their lives.
Our team provides a therapeutic atmosphere with objective assessment tools in a sympathetic setting and consists of a Physiatrist, Neurologist, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Neuropsychologists, Occupational Therapist, Psychiatrist, Psychotherapists, Acupuncture, Chiropractors, Osteoarthritis doctor, Pain Management Consultants, Financial Therapist, Yoga Instructors, Physiotherapists and more.
Founders of Shoreham Medical Team
The Shoreham Medical Team is responsible for the assessment and potential treatment of neurocognitive, psychological and physiological impairments and functioning in children and adults.
Waldermar Pruzanski, M.D., F.R.C.P. (C)., F.A.C.P., F.A.C.R., Specialty in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology. Dr. Pruzanski has extensive experience in post-injury musculoskeletal problems. Rheumatologists are in the best position to advise whether special radiological and nuclear tests, functional studies and blood tests are necessary for assessment of post-injury conditions.
S.W. Joseph Wong M.D., F.R.C.P. (C)., has been conducting Independent Medical Evaluations since 2001 and is an experienced Worker's Compensation Board Assessor for Non-Economic Loss (NEL) evaluator. He is a member of the American Academy of Pain Medicine, Physiatrist Association of Spine and Sports and Occupational Rehabilitation.
M.K. Joseph Kwok, M.D., F.R.C.S. (C)., Specialty: Orthopaedic Surgery, Hospital Affiliation: Humber River Regional Hospital, Director (until 2006) - DAC 1022 (Designated Assessment Centre) NEL assessor for WSIB
Otto F. Veidlinger, M.D., B.Sc. (Med.), F.R.C.P. (C)., The neurology section of Fitpac is entrusted in the capable and very experienced hands of Dr. Veidlinger. He was Chief of Service at Central Hospital and served at Women's College Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital and St. Michael's Hospital. Academically, Dr. Veidlinger teaches in the Department of Medicine, Division of Neurology at the University of Toronto. Past professional experience includes the Workers Compensation Board of Ontario Rehabilitation Centre, Orthopedic and Arthritic Hospital and he served the country as Captain, Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps.
Ayoob Mossanen, M.B., Ch. B., F.R.C.P. (C)., has over 24 years of experience in evaluating injured persons with regard to IME and TORT. His reports are geared to the notion of possible eventual court appearance as a witness/author. His most recent additional interest has been in the field of Functional Medicine, looking at diseases, including trauma as a biochemical phenomena, approaching the pathology at cellular and subcellular level, including genetic and epigenetic factors. He has attended many national and international conferences about pain and regularly keeps up to date with regard to new advances about understanding the mechanism of pain and its psychological counterparts, together with newer methods for treatment.
Tajedin Yenus Getahun, B.Sc, M.D., F.R.C.S. (C)., has full privileges at Trillium Health Centre since 2007. He was also Clinical Associate with admitting privileges at Sunnybrook Hospital.
Ravi Kakar is a physician fully licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario as a Psychiatric Specialist and a member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association. Dr. Kakar maintains an active practice in general psychiatry and practices in Independent Psychiatric Evaluations in the area of STD, LTD, and medico-legal assessments. He has been a Specialist Psychiatrist since 1992. Dr. Kakar has 20 years experience as a consultant psychiatrist and is fully licensed by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Our vocational team specializes in conducting psychovocational, education, aptitude, personality, intellectual and special interest assessments to help clients discover new careers in life. In addition, our team helps individuals understand how their interests and skills can help make them better choices. Our team performs working, function and employability testing.
Peter Li Preti, M.A., M.Ed., Ph.D., has extensive experience conducting MVA assessments and treatments, neuropsychological and psycho-vocational services. Dr. Li Preti has been in private practice since 1984 with particular focus in MVA/Trauma and pain assessment and management.
Raymond Wong, Occupational Therapist, His goal is to assist clients to develop an independent, productive and fulfilling life. Our occupational therapist is helpful in accessing both home and work environments. Those clients who have suffered a physical, mental or emotional disability are helped to improve in areas such as motor functioning, social skills, visual acuity, dexterity and memory.
Nancy Vranic, C.K., is a firm believer in holistic treatment which includes osteopathic and naturopathic approaches. Nancy helps our clients who suffer from a variety of whiplash and chronic pain symptoms and finds solutions to overcome barriers to their recovery. Nancy has extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanical studies and she assists clients with their pain concerns.
Wing Kam Sin is a responsible and committed professional massage therapist. Ms. Sin is able to create a relaxing atmosphere and helps patients who experience pain, by providing a systematic and sympathetic cycle and effective treatment program to reduce pain.
Kim Huynh is an enthusiastic kinesiologist, whose non-invasive approach helps clients reduce their stress and pain. Ms. Huynh utilizes muscle relaxation feedback as well as body awareness and achieves great successes.
Manuel Lupea is a Physiotherapist with over five years of experience treating orthopedic/post-surgical/sports injuries patients. Mr. Lupea has experience in manual therapy and therapeutic exercise prescription and is registered member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division.

Our physical rehabilitation team aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities.
Edward Shane, D.C., is a duly qualified chiropractor and is a specialist in rehabilitation as a member of the Chiropractic College of Rehabilitation Sciences. He is also a member of the American Academy of Pain Management and a Senior Disability Analyst of the American Academy of Disability Evaluating Professionals. Dr. Shane has extensive experience in treating patients with musculoskeletal injuries since 1980. He has specific expertise in treating patients suffering as a result of a motor vehicle related accidents. He has been conducting independent chiropractic assessments from both a medical/rehabilitation and disability perspective since 1991.
Donald Wong, B.Sc., D.C. DAC., graduated with "Magna Cum Laude" in 2006 from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Wong is a member in good standing with several professional organizations and he has published a number of papers in his field of study. He is an accomplished professional who is well respected by his peers and well liked by his patients.
Vanessa Royas is an enthusiastic kinesiologist, whose non-invasive approach helps clients reduce their stress and pain.Vanessa utilizes muscle relaxation feedback as well as body awareness and achieves great successes.
Natalie Marnica has a personal philosophy that is deeply rooted in the belief that in order for the body to "live and feel", one needs to recognize ones' flow of energy that interrelates with all muscles, tissues and organs in the body.
Neuropsychology Team
Clinical neuropsychology uses an extensive variety of sensitive well standardized procedures to test brain behaviour relationships in patients. The object is to detect or confirm the presence of brain dysfunction and to describe the type and extent of behavioural impairments in patients of all ages.
Romeo Vitelli, Ph.D., C.Psych., is a Forensic Neuropsychologist and specializes in assessing head injuries and malingering. Dr. Vitelli practices at The Millwork Correctional Centre and is responsible for forensic and clinical assessments.
Dr. John H. Gilman is a Research Psychologist by training with expertise in Physiological Psychology and Psychophysiology. He has Postdoctoral Training in Clinical Neuropsychology and provides Catastrophic Impairment Evaluations through his Company "Neurocognitive Assessment & Treatment." He provides Med Legal Consultation Services through this company to Shoreham that include Psycho Emotional and Neuropsychological Evaluations.
Driving Rehabilitation Assessment and Treatment Team
Our driving rehabilitation team helps individuals facing challenges caused by a disability or age to achieve safe, independent driving or transportation options through education and potential treatment.
Azmaray Nadi, Driving Instructor, is fully licensed as both in-car instructor and in-class instructor. He has completed his certification of the Driving School Classroom Instructor Course. He has 8 years experience as a driving instructor at Hi-Tech driver education.
Aurora Cando provides an essential service by mapping out areas of transit prior to the desensitization program. Aurora maps the easy, and more difficult routes, according to the recommendations of the psychologist's report by travelling to the patient's home and selecting first local roads, increasing them to arterial and highways, where warranted.
Shahnar Shoeiby joined our team in 2014 and helps our patients and clients with passenger anxiety problems. Shahnar is a professional who is dedicated to reliving anxiety and facilitating a return to a safe driving experience.
Psychometrists / Educational Consultants and Psychotherapy Team
Our Psychotherapy and Psychometrists team is responsible for the isolation and treatment of psychological ailments. Our team is equipped with a wide variety of tools and methods to promote healthy recovery.
Franca Li Preti, B.Ed., H.B.A., M.Ed., Franca has worked for the Toronto District Catholic School Board for 36 years. She is an experienced teacher in all levels of school curriculum and has extensive knowledge of exceptional students and adolescent needs. She was also employed as an assessment and programming teacher and conducted hundreds of psychoeducational assessments. Currently, Franca is a member of the Ontario Association of Consultants, Counselors, Psychometrists and Psychotherapists (OACCPP).
Gloria Zhang, M.A., has over 5 years of professional experience as a Ph.D. in conducting psychological and neuropsychological assessments and evaluations.
Renato Guadagnolo, B.Sc., is a graduate of York University in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Renato is responsible for reviewing all files and recommending type and extent of assessments and therapy for all our clients. Renato reviews tests and other technical support and conducts follow up clinical interviews with our patients to measure the effectiveness of our programs and therapies.
Stella Lamptey has over 15 years of counseling experience within mental health and substance abuse, working with non-profit and post-secondary organizations. This has enabled her to gain substantial experience in assessing individuals with severe mental health or substance abuse issues.
Joshua Pugen has over 15 year of professional experience as a M.S.W. in conducting phychological and neurophysiology assessments and evaluations. He is presently being supervised by Dr. Vitelli.

Julie Raggiunti is an experienced nutritional consultant who has worked in the medical field all her life. She is able to counsel patients with their daily diets, provides educational materials and assigns homework to the participants through one-on-one counseling. New nutritional information and pamphlets are distributed to all participants. In-home assistance with cooking and implementing P.S.W intervention strategies.
Chana Klein is a duly qualified Occupational Therapist licensed to practice in the Province of Ontario. Chana graduated from the University of Toronto with a B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy in 1987. Chana is a member in good standing of the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario and the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists. Chana's current practice is in the area of traumatic brain injury, orthopaedic trauma, soft tissue injury, and psychosocial rehabilitation, performing case management of the catastrophically injured, treatment, file reviews, and community integration within the auto-insurance industry. Chana has past experience assessing and treating school-age children and children with developmental delays.
Tovit Ruben is a duly qualified and registered Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario. This therapist graduated from University of Toronto with a B.Sc. in Occupational Therapy. This Tovit has been practicing occupational therapy since 1991, with expertise in paediatric neurology and acquired traumatic brain injuries, as well as over ten years of experience completing inhome and assessment of attendant care needs assessments, WSIB assessments, and ADP mobility assessments. Tovit Ruben is currently a registered authorizer with the Assistive Devices Program (ADP) for Ambulation aids, Positioning devices for Mobility (Seating) and Wheelchairs, as well as a member of the Ontario Society of Occupational Therapists.
